The e-HealthExpert.org supports several mailing lists.

Among those, the public mailing lists are listed bellow and are also mirrored at the Forum Area of the e-HealthExpert.org site.

1. Introduction


1.1. The [sw-hw] mailing list is an open forum in which any member can freely review, evaluate and talk about any subject related to systems architecture, software, hardware and, more in general the usage of IT technology to support all the activities of a Healthcare Organization.

1.2.This list areas of interest are all related to Healthcare, e-Health, Health IT/Clinical IT, and Healthcare Information Systems, and include but are not limited to:

  • News, Reviews and Opinions about software, hardware and technology;
  • Software licenses and their applicability to Healthcare;
  • Questions and answers;


2. Using the list


2.1. To POST messages to this list, send your message to sw-hw@e-HealthExpert.org

2.2. To SUBSCRIBE to this list, go to the SUBSCRIBE page

2.3. To UNSUBSCRIBE from this list, go to the UNSUBSCRIBE page
Or, in alternative, you may send an email to sw-hw-request@e-healthexpert.org with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.

2.4. To view the MESSAGE ARCHIVES of previously posted messages, go to the mail-archive.com MESSAGE ARCHIVE page

2.5. Admission of new list members is peer reviewed. All list members may refer or vote to admit new members, or vote to suspend any other existing list member.

2.6. In order to help manage invalid or dormant accounts, the [sw-hw] mailing list servers are set to automatically unsubscribe accounts where there have been 3 sequential message delivery failures (i.e., a failed delivery can be caused by an invalid email address, or a target mail server malfunction, a full email inbox, etc.).

2.7. The mailing list software may be set up to send a periodic remainder about mail list account details and (un)subscribing information.


3. List policies


3.1. When posting copyrighted material outside of fair use guidelines, you should obtain author's permission before submitting it to the list. Private email is considered copyrighted material.

3.2. You may not post messages with mail attachments. The mailing list software may be set up to suppress all mail attachments.

3.3. Advertising either commercial or non-commercial, or sales pitches, or hype, are not permitted on this list. Reasonably promoting your project or goals to attract collaborators, is acceptable and considered fair use.

3.4. The list members should not use the list to slander or attack any individual or organization private or public. The list members should not engage into flaming, baiting, name calling, using improper language, or making unsupported accusations of illegal, immoral, or unethical activity.

3.5. The list members should not use the list, directly or by means of a third party, to obtain addresses and send offensive, abusive, advertising, or any other type of unsolicited email also known as email SPAM. The mailing list software may be set up to add the [SPAM] label to the subject of suspicious messages.

3.6. The list members should not, directly or by means of a third party, cause harm or mischief to the equipment, software, or processes that support the mailing list.

3.7. Breach of list rules may result in:
3.7.1. a private reminder,
3.7.2. a public (list) reminder
3.7.3. suspension/removal from the list.

3.8. Privacy: we will not sell, rent or, within the limits established by the Law, give away any personal data.

4.1. The [sw-hw] mailing list is privately owned and maintained by a non-profit organization - The e-HealthExpert.org.

4.2. The e-HealthExpert.org organization does not endorse, nor take any responsibility for any contents of any messages sent to the list by any of the list subscribers.
